Aston's Big Hippo Party: The Details

Max and I had so much fun planning for this special day. I made and created all the decorations, signs, ect. It was fun to use our creative juices. 

The Menu:

Goldfishies- Goldfish Crackers

Baby Hippo Teeth: Mini Marshmallows

Animal Friends: Animal Cracker

Herbivor-derves: Veggie Trays

Baby Hippo Tails: Pretzel Sticks

Pachyderm Punch: Blue Kool Aid

We made a Balloon Jungle for our guest to walk through...The wind was not our friend with it but it was still very fun!

Here is the cake. It was the first time I've ever decorated a cake to this extent. We got the fondant toppers from Cupcake Stylist. She did a great job and it was so cute!

Our inspiration came from the Hippo Party from Birthday Express.

This was the invitation I made. I got the clip art for all the things I made from Pixel Paper Prints.

Aston's Big Hippo Birthday Party

On Sunday we celebrated Aston turning one with family and friends at a Big Hippo Party. Aston had a great time quietly observing everyone and playing in his Balloon Jungle. It was so wonderful to have so many people come and show there love for Aston and celebrate with us. Birthday's are so special and I love how his turned out!

 He found his Monkey in the tree...and wanted to give him a hug.

 Hangin' with his friend Brett... these big boys were about the same size at birth and are a few days apart.

 He took a splash in the Hippo Pool with some friends

Destroyed some cake...

 And got very tired!

 After most of our guests left, we ate dinner as a family and opened gifts.

 Batman sweatshirts!

 A pillow pal,

A dog and doggy robe,

 And a play tunnel were some of the great gifts he got.
